What is Underground Rising?

Underground Rising is a hub for Christians drawn to the voices of believers where Christianity is hard—illegal, resisted, or culturally pressed.

Across cultures and borders, these believers connect through shared endurance, discipleship, prayer, and Kingdom advance. Together, they shape Christian Endurance Studies—theologies of persecution, perseverance, risk, suffering, endurance, and joy.

Meanwhile, curiosity rises among Christians in freer places, wondering how faith endures under pressure. Bound by the Spirit and union with Christ, Underground Rising bridges these worlds.

We share the teachings of house churches and underground movements—on suffering, union with Christ, sacrificial faith, public theology, transformative discipleship, evangelism, and more—all under the banner of Christian Endurance Studies.

Here, you’ll hear from voices on the margins—where Christianity stands as a distinct cultural minority. Their methods may differ across China, Nigeria, or India, but the same God with the same promises sustains them.

When needed, identities and locations are obscured—but their voices remain, as they wish, enduring.
